I decided to photograph the city where I was born and raised to preserve it in my memory. However, when the time came to photograph Kochi, I had no idea. I asked a friend where to take pictures. I even bought postcards and tried to use them as references. In the end, the advice did not give me any tips on how to shoot. The postcard pictures were beautiful, but not what I had in mind. Photography is about capturing what I feel about a subject.
